How it works

Four steps, one PDF

Fill in a name and address, pick a label size, add a logo if you want one, and download. Text is set at the exact size of the label and every label gets its own page, so there is nothing to trim, scale or line up afterwards.

  1. Type the address

One card per label. Use Add address for as many as you need, and set how many copies of each you want.

  2. Pick the size

Anything from 1×1 to 6×1 inches, plus the 1⅛×1 and 3½×1⅛ die-cut address labels. The preview is to scale, and the type grows to the largest size that still fits.

  3. Add a logo

The image button at the end of the name field puts a logo on the left, the right or both sides. The text reflows around it.

  4. Download and print

One page per label at the exact label size. Print at 100% and choose the paper size that matches your labels.

Addresses

What goes on each line

Each line you type becomes one line on the label, and the first line is set in bold as the name. There are no separate fields and no required order — just type the address the way you want it to read.

Size guide

Which size should I pick?

Every size is one label per page at exactly that size, so a 3×1 file prints onto 3×1 stock with nothing to trim. If you are not sure, 3×1 fits a name and a two-line address comfortably.

Printing

How to get a clean print

A few settings in the print dialog do most of the work. Check them once and your labels come out at the right size every time.

Thermal printers

Getting it right on a label printer

Direct thermal printers stop at the gap between labels and darken the paper with heat, so a few driver settings matter more than anything in the file.

Questions

Answers before you print

How do I make an address label?

Type a name and address into the card at the top, choose a size such as 3×1, then press Download PDF. You can add more addresses, set copies of each, and give any address a logo. The preview shows exactly what will print, including where the logo sits.

What label sizes can I choose?

Six whole-inch sizes from 1×1 up to 6×1, plus the two die-cut address labels 1⅛×1 and 3½×1⅛. Each page in the PDF is exactly that size — no letter sheet around it and no cut guides — so a label printer feeds one label at a time.

What are these labels good for?

Mailing and return addresses, envelopes and parcels, invoices, wedding invitations, name badges, jars and storage boxes, price tags, and anything else that needs a tidy printed address. Black text on white also keeps them crisp on a thermal printer.

Can I put a logo on a label?

Yes. Use the small image button at the end of the name field on any card, then choose Left, Right or Both. The logo is scaled to fit the label height and the text shrinks into the space that is left. Images are converted to JPEG and printed by your printer, so on a thermal label printer a logo comes out black and white.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many labels you make. The page is a single static site, so there is nothing to install either.

Are my addresses or logos uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs inside your browser: the addresses and images are turned into a PDF on your own device and never sent to a server. Reload the page and they are gone. The only thing remembered is whether you prefer the light or dark theme.

Will this work with my thermal label printer?

That is what it is built for. One label per page at the exact label size means the printer advances one label at a time. In the print dialog set scaling to 100% (Actual size) and pick the paper size that matches your roll, for example 4×1 in.

Does it work on a phone or tablet?

Yes. The layout stacks on smaller screens, the preview stays to scale, and the PDF downloads to the device so you can print or share it from there.

My printout is cropped or scaled — how do I fix it?

Nearly always the print dialog. Set scaling to 100% (sometimes called Actual size) and choose the same paper size as the label. If your printer driver has its own paper size setting, that needs to match as well, and margins should be None.

Can I print several labels on one sheet of paper?

Not directly — each label is its own page at the exact label size, which is what thermal and roll printers need. If you are printing on A4 or Letter, the pages-per-sheet or “N-up” option in your print dialog can combine them, but it will scale them down, so check the result before printing a batch.

Why does the text look small on a 1×1 label?

The type is set to the largest size that still fits, so a three-line address on a 1×1 has very little height to work with. Shorten it to a name and one street line, or move up to 2×1 or 3×1 where the same text can be much larger.
